Day 10-Free Day

10:00 PM
FREE DAY!!! We all enjoyed sleeping in today (that means till 8 for me). I wanted to check out the hot springs so I grabbed some breakfast downstairs and tried to get a group to go with me. I felt like I needed a cattle prod to get people moving and organized, but I eventually managed to get Josh, Monica, and Jay together. Arianna, Gannon, Dion and Shawn all wanted to go later so our little group headed out in search of these famed springs. Of course no one mentioned they were nearly impossible to find! It didn’t help that it was a million degrees today. I woke up feeling good for the first time on the trip, so I didn’t mind the long walk up a huge hill. At least I dint mind until we found out an hour later that we had gone the wrong way! We headed back down the hill (super hot and tired by now) and started up the correct hill. We found the natural springs which were super beautiful. They were incredibly hot. There were warning signs about overheating by just being on the bridge by them. Needless to say these weren’t the swimming springs. A short walk later and we found some hotels that offered hot springs inside. We picked the nicest looking one (and by then they all looked good) and paid about $15. It wasn’t worth the trip. In a nutshell the springs were just four large hot tubs. Nothing natural about them. At least we can say tried them, but it’s not something I would ever recommend.
On the way back we grabbed some ice cream. I got green tea flavor, which is one of my favorites! My roommate had the key card so management let me into the room. I changed, grabbed some money and walked out to get some dinner. The moment I heard the door click I realized I had just locked myself out. Thankfully I was able to hang out in one of the other rooms while we waited for some local students to join us for dinner. Once they got here we went to a place called Evans. I got a delightful mushroom and Swiss burger (yay American food!) and a Dr. Pepper (which was imported from the US). This was the end of me feeling well so I left the group and headed back to my room. After asking management t let me in again, I started packing. I had to do some serious organizing to get everything packed in my bag. I’m doing laundry as I type. The washer was all in Chinese so I just pushed buttons until it started and threw some powered stuff that looked like soap on top of it. I’m a little concerned that it’s been going for 2 hours…Anyways I intend to finish my load of darks, pack them and then get some sleep. Happy Mother’s Day!

12:30 AM
I'm giving up on laundry. Its been drying for hours and I can still wring water out of them. I just hung everything up around the room. I have clothes on the TV, lamps, chairs and desk drawers that pull out. Its not going to be fun packing in the morning.
