Today was a wonderful lazy day. Due to the rain only a few people went to Taipei. I stayed in the hotel and took a lovely nap. After I woke up Pat, Diane, and myself went out on the street and did some shopping. I bought another lovely dress which I actually wore to the dinner tonight. I bought some awesome shoes to go with it.
Josh went missing in Taipei so Professor Peng was late getting to our dinner. It was a really good meal! Buffet style-all you can eat-wonderfulness! There were fresh fruits, fish, beef, chicken, and glass bottle sodas. After we finally recovered Josh (who just missed the check in time) and the Professor, we had our ‘final exam’. Basically it was just rating the activities we had done. Then there a speech by Ed, thanking Professor Peng. Our certificates of completion were handed out in a formal fashion. They are really nice! The sister universities we visited had their deans sign them. We also presented the Professor the gift we had gotten him from his university.
As we were getting ready to say goodnight we all counted down from 5 marking the official dismissal of the program. I’m really sad it’s over. I’ve made some truly great friends and I will miss spending time with them.
A bunch of us headed to my room to watch some YouTube videos. Since no one wants the night to end we decided to catch a movie. We are going to the 11:30 showing of Fast and Furious 5-our last event together. Then we wake up and move on.
Here comes China!
